  • Routing – The chimney’s inlet is where the flue gas pipes are attached. Furthermore, it would be best to choose a straight path that covered the shortest distance. A few elbows are furthermore required to run the pipe in order to prevent pressure and heat loss. Furthermore, it would be preferable to insert a 30° isolation bend rather than enlarging or contracting the pipe. The flue gas pipe must also be tapped at a 30-45° angle to the chimney.
  • Sizing – The connection between a chimney and a boiler is made using pipe or duct in general. Additionally, every piece of inline equipment like an expansion joint, silencer, fittings, etc. is sized according to the pipe’s nominal diameter. Furthermore, when constructing the system at 16.5 m/s, the boiler outlet temperature should not be exceeded. The speed, however, is dependent on the operating flow rate.
